Who We Are
Karakolis Kosmas
Head Coach
A multiple-time Greek National Champion, with extensive international experience representing the Greek National Team at World Cups, European Championships, and World Championships.
He spent eight years living and working in Italy, competing in the Italian national circuit and collaborating with high-level fencing academies and training centers in Milan and across Northern Italy.
A student of Olympic Champion Angelo Mazzoni, he has trained alongside leading Italian fencing coaches and followed the Italian coaching education pathway. He is currently in the final stage of earning the title of Maestro, the highest coaching qualification in fencing.
As Head of the Future Champions Camp and a collaborator with the Future Champions Academy, he is actively involved in international camps and technical collaborations across Europe, the United States, and Asia, bringing this international experience and expertise into the daily work of Thessaloniki Fencing Club.
Evangelou Vangelis
Coach
His journey in fencing began at the age of 12 and has since been defined by consistency and a strong competitive presence.
Throughout his competitive career, he has won gold medals at Greek National Championships across multiple age categories, while also achieving international results in senior competitions and Balkan Championships.
He holds a degree in Physical Education and Sports Science, with a specialization in Special Education, and has several years of coaching experience with sports clubs. He has also served as a National Team Coach in Cyprus.
At Thessaloniki Fencing Club, he brings his experience, technical knowledge, and educational approach into his daily coaching, with a strong commitment to both the athletic development and character building of each athlete.
